The extension update is live in the Chrome Web Store: presets keep your whole profile, the custom info box is edited like normal text, and you can save your current profile with one button.

SteamShowcase Helper 1.2.0 is out: your whole profile in one preset

The Chrome Web Store approved the update and it is rolling out to everyone. The extension usually updates itself within a few hours. If you want it right now, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode and press Update.

Presets now hold the whole profile

A preset used to keep the background and the works in the artwork and workshop showcases. Now it keeps the whole profile: background, showcase order and the content of each showcase.

  • Every Steam showcase type, including extra copies from the Points Shop and upgraded levels. Names match Steam's own
  • Works: artwork, workshop items, screenshots, videos and guides — one by one or as a whole upload set
  • Games: from your library, and for the perfect games showcase, games completed to 100%
  • Inventory items (tradable ones only for the trade showcase) and the text under them
  • Badges and the badge showcase style, favourite group, review, achievements, Steam Replay year

The custom info box without manual markup

Edit the text like in any editor: select it and press a button — bold, italic, headings, lists, quote, spoiler. Add a link with 🔗 or Ctrl+K. Emoticons come from your Steam library, with search and recent ones. What you see in the editor is what you get on the profile. If you prefer BBCode, there is a code mode.

Save your profile with one button

"Save current profile as a preset" builds a preset from what is on your profile now. Each showcase shows what it holds. By default everything stays as it is, so you change only what you need.

Applying

"Apply in Steam" opens the showcase editor, puts the showcases in order and fills them. You only check and press Save. Some showcases (games, items, perfect games, Steam Replay) are saved by Steam right away — Steam's own editor works the same way, and the extension warns you about it in advance.

Old presets keep working, and so do export and import.
