Cool Steam name fonts and an About me text
Steam lets you use any Unicode letters in your profile name, so a name can be bold, script, gothic, spaced out or framed with symbols. Showcase Maker turns your name into dozens of such styles and gives ready texts for the lines under it.
Step by step
- Open the Name tab
In Showcase Maker open “Text showcases” → “Name” and type your nickname. Every style shows your name at once: 41 fonts and 32 frames, glitch and an invisible name.
- Copy the style you like
Click a card and it is copied. The counter warns you when the name gets longer than Steam’s 32 characters.
- Paste it into Steam
Profile → Edit Profile → General → Profile name, paste and press Save.
- Add the About me lines
Open the “About me” tab, pick one of the templates (they all fit the three lines Steam shows), copy it and paste it into the Summary field in the same Edit Profile page.
Common questions
Why do some letters show as squares?
That device has no font with those symbols. The popular styles (bold, script, gothic, small caps) show almost everywhere.
How does the invisible name work?
It uses a blank Unicode character that Steam accepts as a name, so the name looks empty.
Will friends find me with a fancy name?
Search by fancy letters is harder. Keep your custom URL simple so people can still find you.
